How many people take the initiative with attending cultural events and organising for friends, compared to those who tend to go along when someone else asks them?

Using data on these 'Initiators' and 'Responders' from the Cultural Participation Monitor, we will look at these two categories of people, building on research from academics in the US (WolfBrown). What types of people tend to fit into these different categories of arts attendees, and crucially what does it mean for your marketing strategy and engagement with your audience?
