Staying Curious - the essence of a creative life
Are you struggling with a creative project at the moment?
Have you run out of steam with your novel, or have your creative endeavours been relegated to the backseat while you focus on the day job? Is that new class you wanted to take still on the backburner? Do you feel like every minute of the day is already full and there’s simply no room for getting creative?
Stop. Breathe. You’re not alone.
Staying curious about our creative selves is getting harder in a world that wants (and constantly shouts for) our attention, places the focus on productivity and not process, and keeps raising the costs of being a human.
How can we contend with this? I genuinely believe curiosity is the answer (without a definitive answer) to almost everything when it comes to creativity.
Join me for an hour dedicated to curiosity. Whether you have a project in mind that needs a kickstart, or you simply want to cultivate more creativity in your day, this playful but focused workshop will help.
You can expect:
- Journal prompts in the shape of useful coaching questions.
- Creative activities with purpose - writing, doodling, drawing and moving.
- Sparks to keep your curiosity alive and working for you.
- Something to make you smile.
- Time to share and reflect for those who want to.
- Tools to take away and use each day.
- Post-workshop support if you need it.
By the end of the session, you’ll have re-connected with your current project and have tools/a plan on how to stay curious and make time for more creativity in your life.
This workshop is run as a confidential, safe and inclusive space for everyone.
Places are limited to 10 participants to create a sense of community and facilitate time for sharing.
All workshops are run on a donation based/honesty box contribution (you’ll get an email with a link after the session). If you can and want to give, great, if not, no questions asked - I’m grateful for your presence.
“When I refer to “creative living,” I am speaking more broadly. I’m talking about living a life that is driven more strongly by curiosity than by fear.”
— Elizabeth Gilbert
