SPAN Arts is excited to announce the return of the hugely popular Haverfordwest Lantern Parade in 2024.

Supported by the UK Government and powered by Levelling Up Fund funding, the Lantern Parade this November will bring the community together to celebrate Haverfordwest and Pembrokeshire.

Over the next few months SPAN Arts will put a call out to Creatives to put forward their ideas for the Parade and the giant puppets which be the centre point of the festival.

The shortlist of these ideas will then go to a public vote, where the community get to choose the festival of their dreams.

“SPAN aims to be artist-led and community-focused. The public vote will give the community the power to shape their own parade”.

Bethan Touhig Gamble, SPAN Arts Director

There will be free public lantern-making workshops in the run-up to the parade and lots of opportunities for people to get involved. To find out more follow SPAN Arts on social media or sign up the SPAN mailing list.
