Applications for Peak Peers 2024 are open & we’d love to hear from you!

 

  • Would you like to explore the Black Mountains, develop new skills and be part of a supportive peer group?   
  • Are you interested in exploring questions of land, belonging, activism and creativity in a rural context? 
  • Would you like to meet artists and people from other disciplines exploring these themes? 

 

Peak Peers 2024 is an 8-day programme inviting young people to explore themes of land, belonging, activism and creativity rooted in the Black Mountains and Welsh Borders. The programme takes place across September, October and November 2024 and includes creative workshops, walks and talks with artists and activists. Peak Peers is hosted by Peak Cymru and based at our two sites - Platfform 2, Y Fenni Train Station and The Old School, Crickhowell - alongside visits in the Black Mountains, Usk Valley and surrounding areas. 

Peak Peers 2024 is co-hosted with artists and activists: Jannat Ahmed, Manon Awst, Nadia Shaikh & Jon Moses (Right to Roam), Beverley Bennett and other contributors to be announced.

?️ Saturday 20 September (intro day), Friday 27 + Saturday 28 September, Saturday 12 + Sunday 13 September, Friday 25 + Saturday 26 October, Friday 8 November (10am to 4pm daily)

? Platfform 2, Abergavenny Train Station, Y Hen Ysgol, Crickhowell and other rural locations

✨ Workshops, walks, talks and visits

? For 12 individuals aged 18-30, living within 1 hour of Abergavenny

? All participants will receive a £500 bursary for their time + travel 

? Q+A: Wednesday 31 July 5-7pm
