Fundraising Consultant

Wyeside is seeking to appoint a freelance consultant to work as a part of our project team that is being set up following successful funding from a Powys County Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund Arts grant. Wyeside urgently needs to raise additional revenues for its business model to sustain the future of the arts centre in the context of reduced public funding. The project work will start in July and the position will be active until October 2024 with a programme of work to be agreed.

Fees for this project (to be inclusive of all travel and expenses) are:

Fundraising consultant: £8,000

Wyeside plays a vital role in the arts scene of Mid Wales. For a relatively small venue, the programme is large and diverse, including drama, ballet and opera (both live and streamed via satellite to our cinema screens), world music, the latest Hollywood blockbusters and art-house movies. The centre also stages workshops, visual arts exhibitions, University talks, theatre hires, conferences and community performances. This project will focus on building up our audiences, establishing an additional revenue stream from new business sponsor relationships and creating a fundraising plan for the future.

This project arises from an application to the Powys Arts Transition and Resilience Grant Fund 2024 and work is to be carried out in accordance with this Scope of Services.
