Digital Marketing Communications Officer (Bilingual)

We are currently seeking a Bilingual Digital Marketing Communications Officer who will be responsible for running WNO’s social media and digital communication channels to support marketing campaigns and raise awareness of the full breadth of WNO’s programme with compelling and consistent messaging. The Digital Marketing Communications Officer also supports the marketing team to ensure WNO marketing copy complies to Welsh Language Standards.
What will be required of you?
- Supports Head of Marketing & Digital by assuming a data-driven and evidence-led approach to WNO social media delivery.
- Plans and implements a bilingual weekly social media calendar that showcases the breadth of our work to support marketing campaigns and brand communication plans, and including curating, proofing and scheduling posts across all WNO channels.
- Maintains a sound and coherent, but equally flexible tone of voice for WNO across social media platforms and digital communications, optimised in accordance with the requirements of target audiences and platforms.
- Identifies emerging social media trends and platforms which would serve the needs of WNO’s audience development to reach a diverse audience.
- Researches and writes engaging bilingual editorial for WNO online channels including blogs, emails, website content and paid digital campaigns.
- Leads on the development and implementation of WNO’s solus email and e-newsletter campaigns including writing copy, proofing, build and data extraction, and utilising tools such as automation. Conducts A/B testing continuously to optimise format and content.
- Oversees all wno.org.uk website amends and ensures it presents accurate information at all times and follows the basic SEO rules.
- Generates and proofs Welsh versions of creative marketing copy, working closely with external translators as required.
What you will need to have?
Essential
·A high level of literacy with excellent attention to detail
·Fluent Welsh speaker and writer
·Robust understanding of social media platforms and best practice with the ability to learn new applications quickly
·Experience of using CRM system
·Ability to work in a team but has confidence to follow own intuition and initiative where appropriate
·Organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy working environment
·Excellent interpersonal skills
·Excellent copywriting skills
·Ability to respond creatively and professionally when under pressure
Desirable
- Experience in marketing opera/classical music/the arts
- Knowledge of Wordfly, Canva and Buffer or other similar digital
