Carmarthenshire County Council is looking to appoint a passionate and self-motivated individual to join the team at Theatrau Sir Gâr / Carmarthenshire Theatres.
You will be a key member of the Theatre’s management team and will support the artistic and audience development outputs for the service. You will do this by working with creative individuals and organisations on co-productions, co-ordinating outreach projects tied to the theatres programme, and devising projects to help to increase access to the performing arts and help improve the wellbeing of our communities.
Ideally you will have the skills to communicate and work with a wide range of people; a knowledge of the arts, diversity and inclusion, and the community/voluntary sector; and some previous experience of working on arts projects or programmes.
Our service sits within the Culture & Leisure service within the Communities division of the council. Carmarthenshire has a rich culture and is fortunate to have a portfolio of excellent venues including: The Ffwrnes, the county’s flagship performing arts venue which opened in 2013 with a £15 million investment in the heart of Llanelli; the Lyric, a Grade II listed building situated in the cultural quarter of Carmarthen; and Y Glowyr, a former miners’ welfare hall in Ammanford which is now an intimate theatre.
The post is fixed term to the end of March 2027, with the possibility of an extension in line with an extension of grant funding.
For an informal discussion please contact Sharon Casey on SECasey@carmarthenshire.gov.uk or on 01554 744 477
