The Arts Council of Wales is compiling a list of potential consultants for the Creative Steps grant fund that applicants can access to support them on their developmental and creative journey.
The Creative Steps grant fund focuses on those who identify as being ethnically and culturally diverse, have experienced racism or discrimination, and Deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent people.
We are looking for consultants with expertise in areas such as (but not limited to) mentoring and/or coaching, income generation and fundraising, business and financial planning, marketing, setting up organisations, business development and grant writing.
The Creative Steps fund will be a rolling programme, with applications accepted on the last day of each month. The first closing date will be 31 December 2022. Creative Steps is open for applications of between £500 and £250,000 and has been made possible thanks to the money raised each week by National Lottery players for good causes.
It is important to note that Arts Council of Wales are not directly responsible for managing the relationship between applicants and consultants and are only aiming to provide a list with contact details and a brief description of the consultants, which will allow applicants to make an informed decision on who they would like to work with. If a Consultant and artist/organisation agree to work together, their fee will be included as part of the overall budget for the grant application. The method of payment should be agreed between the grant recipient and consultant prior to submitting an application. Please note, your fee can only be guaranteed if the application is successful in securing funding from the Arts Council of Wales, so please take this into consideration.
