We are holding an audition to widen the pool of freelance dancers that we work with going into the future.

We're particularly interested in dancers with strong contemporary dance technique and contact skills, alongside confidence in improvisation and collaborative devising, to help us develop our new production work, through a series of projects going forward. We also welcome dancers with experience in other dance styles, to bring to the creative process.

In addition, we're looking for dancers who have skills in community dance practice and/or dance in education alongside their performance experience, to help us deliver our local and national community dance and audience development projects. We're also keen to work with dancers who speak Welsh and/or use BSL.

Above all, a willingness and passion to learn and develop in all of the above is a must!

Successful applicants will be contracted on a project to project basis when activity is scheduled, and funding received. Projects include training and R&D, production and touring, community projects and teaching. We already have some exciting projects scheduled for 2024/25 and we are looking forward to welcoming some new dancers into the team for them!

The first project with funding confirmed is ‘Gyda’n Gilydd’ (Together); a professional development and community dance programme. The project is delivered in partnership with our associated organisation Artis Community and includes our professional development training project ‘EXPLORE’. This will be a great first project to get involved with as a new company member – training with ours and Artis Community's staff and working with our community participants to create and perform work together. The project also includes a week of R&D rehearsals exploring a new performance work for the company.
