Part-Time Film Coordinator – Llandovery, Carmarthenshire

Hybu Llanymddyfri-Llandovery is looking for a part-time film coordinator to assist with their new cinematic project in 2025, featuring Welsh language films and films covering energy alternatives and sustainability.  The role runs from March to December 2025. Job Description

Part-Time Manager/ Assistant - Part-Time 10 months (March to December 2025). Fee £3,940.00

There is an allocated budget for the following to be delivered between March and December 2025:

7 Monthly films: showcasing Welsh-language films and promoting Welsh heritage. 

3 Quarterly environmental documentaries

Free desk space is available at Hybu’s office at Llandovery Youth & Community Centre in Llandovery. 

Objectives

  1. Cultural and Linguistic Diversity: Showcase Welsh-language films and promote Welsh heritage through quarterly themed film nights.
  2. Environmental Awareness: Present films addressing energy alternatives and sustainability in partnership with local environmental groups Llandovery Climate Group, Bwrlwm and Ynni Sir Gâr.
  3. Accessibility: Make cinema affordable for low-income families through reduced ticket prices, accessible screenings, and transport support.

Activities

  • Screenings and Film Festivals: Regular screenings of Welsh and international films with themes on sustainability.
  • Outreach: Work with Llandovery Youth & Community Centre to reach underserved groups, using Welsh-language materials to engage Welsh-speaking communities.
  • Environmental Series: Screenings and discussions focused on sustainability with local energy advocates.
