Blender Software - Taster course for Animators

Who is it for?
This 2 day taster course is suitable for anyone working in Animation, Post Production and VFX.
Brief description on Blender
Blender is a free and open-source 3D computer graphics software tool set used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, 3D-printed models, motion graphics, interactive 3D applications, virtual reality, and, formerly, video games
What is the aim of the course?
To provide a working overview of Blender as a tool for professional animators.
The course will cover:
- Installation and Set-up
- Interface and Navigation
- Modelling Basics
- Animation
By the end of the training you will be able to:
- Identify the benefits of using Blender for animation
- Download and install Blender on your computer
- Configure Blender
- Navigate the 3D viewpoint and manipulate objects
- Familairise with Keyboad shortcuts HOTKEYS AND STICKY NOTES
- Create and manipulate basic shapes
- Utilise lighting and camera
The 2nd day of training will be practical based where participants will work on a short piece of animation, covering
- Planning your animation
- Animation in object mode
- Rigging and animation in pose mode
- Hierarchy and animation
- Intro to NLA and layered animation.
Equipment Required:
You will not be required to bring any equipment, as this will be provided.
