Early-career music development bursaries leading up to WOMEX, 23-27 October 2024 in Manchester
WOMEX – Worldwide Music Expo – is the largest gathering of the global music scene, featuring a trade fair, conference, and a programme of showcase concerts. The event takes in a broad range of musical genres, from the most traditional to the new global local underground, embracing folk, roots, jazz, local and diaspora cultures, alongside as urban and electronic sounds from all over the globe. Each year WOMEX is hosted by a different European city, Manchester is the 2024 host – the third time it has been hosted by a UK city in its 30 year history.
Tŷ Cerdd and Trac Cymru – in partnership with Wales Arts International and FOCUS Wales – are running a mentoring programme for early-career musicians / music-professionals looking to make the most of attending WOMEX 2024 as delegates.
Successful applicants will receive:
- A bespoke programme of mentoring from sector professionals from May-Sept 2024
- A place on the Youth Summit, being delivered by Brighter Sounds, Manchester
- A bursary to attend WOMEX, 23-27 October – & a place in the Cymru delegation
