RCT Theatres are excited to announce Park & Daring, a new festival of work-in-progress performances at the Park & Dare Theatre in Treorchy.

Over the course of 3 nights, 12 local RCT-based artists will share initial ideas for new productions. Tickets for the public are Pay What You Feel (£8, £5, £3, £0).

Each event has BSL interpretation and audiences will be invited to give their feedback.

Wednesday 19th March / 7pm / SCRATCH NIGHT

Eifion Ap Cadno, Max Hoare, David McSparron, Bridie Smith, Emily Stroud and Yasmin Williams share very short extracts of new work in Stiwdio 1. An eclectic mix of theatre, dance, comedy, conversation and music. Some pieces will have had less than a day’s rehearsal - fresh!

Thursday 20th March / 7pm / PITCH POT

The recipients of this year’s Pitch Pot grants - Bethan Nia, Rebecca Smith-Williams, Sylvia Strand & Jonathan Gregory - present a beautiful mix of performance and interaction exploring notions of Cymraeg, place, sound, cultural identity and salmon… Spanning the main house and Stiwdio 1.

Friday 21st March / 7pm / ARTIST IN SERVICE

After 6 months embedded in both the Arts & Cultural Service and communities in the Rhondda, Artists in Service Harriet Fleuriot and Rhys Slade-Jones invite audiences into this special takeover of Stiwdio 1. They’ll share insights into their process and discoveries made along the way. Expect performances, conversations, and as many questions as answers!
