6th and 7th of July, Pembrokeshire.
Come and Join us at Nantwen for 3 concerts of exceptional String Chamber music. We present a work by New York composer Jessie Montgomery, chamber music by Welsh Composer Mansel Thomas alongside a quintet by Icelandic Composer Olafur Arnalds.
We have Aleksei Kiseliov joining us from his role as Solo Cellist of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra (we think he’s caught the lure of West Wales) He will be joining cellist Daniel Davies in an energising cello duo from 277 years ago by Barriere, before complementing the Nantwen birdsong with Sally Beamish’s arrangement of the Catalan melody - Song of the Birds.
We welcome back Lisa Obert, principal 2nd violin from the BBC Philharmonic who leads us in Brahms’ second String Quartet, and we are delighted to introduce young violinist Tom Grundy, a recent graduate from the Royal College of Music in London.
