The popular podcast Yr Hen Iaith returns with a brand new series, especially for A Level students!
Yr Hen Iaith is a popular podcast about the history of Welsh language literature, presented by Jerry Hunter and Richard Wyn Jones. Over two years and two seasons, 62 episodes have been released, drawing thousands of followers and winning a British Podcast Award.
Yr Hen Iaith team have now created a special series for A Level students, in partnership with Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol and the National Library of Wales! This series breaks down the texts on the Welsh A Level syllabus, in Jerry and Richard’s signature witty, fascinating style. Available first on AM, and also on YouTube and anywhere else you can listen to a podcast. Many of the episodes have been filmed at the National Library, and you’ll be able to see some of the treasures of Welsh literature as we explain their relevance to the Level A course.
