Shwmae! We're thrilled to announce the launch of the "Llandovery Support Coordinators Project”. We’re extending a warm invitation to the entire community to join us on Friday, April 19th (11 am – 2 pm) and Saturday, April 20th (10:30 am – 1:30 pm) at Market Square in Llandovery for an unforgettable community event.
Discover and sign up for a diverse range of community activities designed to enrich and support the local community, including the Luncheon Club, Aging Well Course, Repair Cafe Workshops, Garden to Share, Cooking on a Budget lessons, Beginners Welsh classes, and the Community Cinema.
But that's not all! Engage with representatives from eleven organizations and service providers (Nacro Connecting Carmarthenshire, Nacro Housing Related Support, Papyrus, Adferiad – Carmarthenshire Carers Information Service, CAVS, Farming Community Network, Age Cymru, Llandovery Youth Community Centre, Coleg Sir Gar Multiply Team, Bwrlwm, Advocacy West Wales), alongside local festival and event organizers. Explore volunteering opportunities linked to community activities and festivals and find ways to make a meaningful impact in your community.
Expect vibrant music and engaging performances by talented artists from Wales, all creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
Meet and connect with the dynamic duo behind the project, Maggi Swallow and Tiago Gambogi, the Llandovery Support Coordinators. They'll be there to answer any questions you may have about the activities or to offer support for your own events in Llandovery, Llangadog, Myddfai, Cilycwm, and the surrounding villages.
We eagerly anticipate welcoming you on April 19th and 20th. To stay updated, join our mailing list by contacting Maggi Swallow (llandovery.lesc@gmail.com) or Tiago Gambogi (llandovery.lcasc@gmail.com).
This event is made possible with the support of the National Lottery Community Fund, Llandovery Town Council, Nacro Connecting Carmarthenshire, and LYCC.
Let's come together and embrace all our community connections at the Llandovery Support Coordinators Project launch! Diolch yn fawr!
