As part of the UK/Kenya Season supported by British Council and delivered by Africa Centre and Watch Africa we are Collaborating with Clwb Orange for an exclusive listening party where we celebrate Kenyan artistry , Chimano; bringing his powerful work, Heavy Is the Crown, to life in Cardiff for one night only.
Chimano is doing is his one man show called Heavy Is The Crown (What its like to be a gay man in Africa).It is a speaking show that incorporates songs from his first album Heavy Is The Crown and also about him stepping into his power and owning his story after Sauti Sol split up.
Chimano premiered the show in Australia this March and is taking it to France and London before coming to Cardiff.He is working on projects that aim to shift outdated narratives of the LGBTQI communities across the continent.

- DVJ Duez – crafting atmosphere with genre-blending sounds
