Green Man Rising is a unique project that sets new music acts on their way to becoming the headliners of tomorrow. Supporting 125 music creators each year, it's all about offering new acts live performance opportunities, professional promotional assets, mentoring from industry professionals and access to a network of key tastemakers that can push their work forward. It happens under the umbrella of the Green Man festival offering bands the chance to open its iconic Mountain Stage.

The Green Man Rising Assistant is a new role that will help deliver the programme, from the selection process through to the management of bands at the festival. The role requires a self-motivated person with a strong work ethic who can work well under pressure, be personable and able to build natural rapport.

The role will require 'on-site' work at different stages of the programme, i.e. at the live final in Cardiff (June 2024) and at Green Man festival (August 2024).

This is a part-time role with fluctuating daily commitments and some unsocial working hours are expected.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills
  • Working familiarity with Photoshop, Indesign, G Suite, Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Excellent research skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and take direction and initiative as required

Job Responsibilities

  1. Support the Music team with the selection process of Green Man Rising competition entries
  2. Assist the team with collating Marketing assets from bands
  3. Assist with organising the competition live final, liaising with the partner venue and other stakeholders
  4. Act as the main point of contact for participating bands
  5. Assist with advancing and riders and provide required information to relevant teams
  6. Assist Marketing and Music teams and partner production company with managing the sessions at the festival
  7. Oversee the smooth entrance of artists and guests at the festival
  8. Act as the first point of contact for Artist Box Office teams for enquiries during the festival live days
  9. Work with the Green Man Trust Manager to monitor and evaluate the programme
  10. Provide administrative support as and when required by line management
