Full time, 37 hours per week

Grade D: Starting salary of £40,561

Location: This role can be based at any one of the Arts Council of Wales offices in Cardiff, Colwyn Bay or Carmarthen.  We are currently working in a hybrid way.

About this role

Development Officers are the local delivery agents for our national arts policies and strategies. They provide the principle point of contact for individuals and organisations who want our help, support and funding.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, Arts, Health and Wellbeing, this Development Officer role will have a range of responsibilities including a ‘package’ of arts, health and professional specialisms, involvement in funding decision meetings, being a contact for Arts Portfolio Wales organisations, and supporting a specific area of policy (in this instance, the work of Arts and Health).

About you

If you are someone who has a passion for the arts, health and wellbeing, and the ability to manage and implement initiatives that advance the Arts Council’s priorities, this role could be for you. You will need to manage and execute a diverse programme of projects and tasks and be outcome orientated with the determination to drive tasks through to practical completion. Welsh language

We work in both English and Welsh. Fluency in Welsh (both written and spoken) is desirable but not essential for this post. Upon appointment we can support you to learn, develop and improve your language skills and to increase your confidence in speaking and writing in Welsh.
