An intimate, inventive show about the future of Welsh-language communities in coastal areas of Wales, Ar Lan y Môr by Rhiannon Mair was originally developed under Volcano's 2022 small-scale commission series and has appeared at the 2022 National Eisteddfod in Tregaron.
Now redeveloped for intimate theatre and community spaces, the show has been appearing at venues across Wales throughout 2023 and 2024.
This week it appears in Ammanford, at the beautiful, historic and intimate Miner’s Theatre in Wind St, at 7:30pm on the 6th March. Volcano is delighted to be returning to the Miners’ after several years.
Ar Lan y Môr is created and performed by Rhiannon Mair, with Creative Support from Elis Pari and Sera Moore Williams. Rhiannon will also be performing the show for university students next week at Canolfan Arad Goch, as part of a course on site-specific theatre.
