Accessing and engaging with arts and culture is essential to health and well-being, and AM is therefore pleased to announce a three year Strategic Partnership with the Wales Arts Health & Well-being Network (WAHWN) who lead the advocacy for arts and health engagement.

WAHWN is a network of colleagues delivering arts and health work in Wales,They aim to develop arts and health practice by facilitating networking within the sector, supporting research and providing a national voice for arts and health practitioners in Wales.

This partnership between WAHWN and AM intends to promote the importance of arts and wellbeing initiatives to wider audiences, expand the reach of WAHWN’s work and network and regularly present a broad spectrum of Welsh culture to WAHWN’s membership via the AM platform. 

WAHWN is a free network open to anyone working in, or with an interest in the field of arts, health and well-being. Members include artists, arts organisations, health professionals, academics and local authorities and represents the full range of art forms and practice in health, arts and community settings.

AM is an app and a website which promotes the inclusive and community-based culture of Wales, and is funded by the Welsh Government. The digital platform has shared the activity of over 350 Creative Partners/channels to an audience of over 250 000 users in the last two years. Over the next three years, AM aims to play a more active role in raise the profile of the arts to health and wellbeing to a national sector and to its ever-expanding audience by using digital means to improve access and engagement.
