We are seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic individual for Port Talbot Youth Theatre, an arm of the youth arts charity, Afan Arts.
PTYT takes place in the locally iconic building at the heart of Port Talbot, THE PLAZA, every term time Thursday, 6PM - 8 PM . The youth theatre is provided at no cost to the young people of Neath Port Talbot - ages 11-18.
Candidates should have excellent communication skills with experience and passion for theatre making and inspiring young people through drama. Also
* Have experience devising, resourcing and delivery high quality and engaging drama.
* Be organised and self motivated
* Enthusiastic and creative.
Main duties are to plan and deliver drama based workshops for young people.
Develop young peoples learning and development through creativity.
The practitioner will be supported by the creative director and guest tutors.
Fee £30 per hour of delivery ( Plus 1 hour for planning )
The practitioner is expected to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to their session and remain until all after session duties and completed ( usually 20 minutes)
