RCT Arts Service are looking for a passionate, organised, and capable Arts project co-ordinator who shares the belief that the arts make a positive contribution to the wellbeing and prosperity of both individuals and communities.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordinating and delivering an already established and running Youth Arts programme, funded by Welsh Government Families First funding
  • Collecting and collating all data from projects within the programme for quarterly reports, manage the Youth Arts budget, including payment of invoices and liaising with and issuing contracts with artists
  • Identifying and co-ordinating any opportunities for young people to showcase their talents
  • Supporting our ongoing partnerships with other council services and relevant organisations
  • Advocating for the role and benefits of youth arts in Wales and beyond, share best practise and promote a positive image of Rhondda Cynon Taf, the arts sector, council and the service

The successful candidate will possess the following capabilities, experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience working with young people
  • Experience of project management in an arts or community context
  • Up to date clean DBS certificate
  • Registered as self-employed and to invoice for payment

 

Further Details:

Salary: £2700 over 3 months

Duration: Initial 3-month contract, extending to 6 months (grant dependent)

Hours of work: 12.5 hours over 2 days per week (flexible working)

Location: Home-working, Park & Dare Theatre (Treorchy), and project locations across RCT
