The final show in Volcano's season of new short performances is an exclusive client viewing of some of the lesser-known areas within our attractively priced and conveniently located character property in Swansea High Street, in the company of Estate Agent Marianne Tuckman.

Despite our agent’s best spin, your viewing does not go entirely to plan. The ‘house’ is occupied, or haunted, by the voices of people in need of somewhere affordable and decent to live, and seems also to be occupied by someone (or something) much more tangible, who appears to be sub-letting the bath...

This immersive performance is a re-telling of Hans Christian Andersen’s ‘The Little Mermaid’ in the context of the housing crisis.

It imagines a future where need, rather than money, has more capital. If you need the building, you own the building. We are not there yet.

Created and performed by Marianne Tuckman, with a special appearance by Paul Davies.

THE RISING DAMP and OTHER TAILS is on Thursday and Friday at Volcano.
