A powerful multidisciplinary outreach project using music, visual art, and storytelling to explore and raise awareness around HIV, queer identity, and community healing.

Inspired by personal narratives, poetry, and archival materials, the project brings together artists, musicians, and health advocates to spark dialogue and reflection.

Featuring original music by Welsh-Australian composer Niamh Jacqueline O’Donnell, and striking visual art by portrait artist Darren Varnam, the project will culminate in live performances, exhibitions, and panel discussions across Wales.

Proudly funded by the Arts Council of Wales and Ty Cerdd, the Red Ribbon Project is more than art — it’s a platform for change.

Launching in June 2025 with performances, a week-long exhibition, and a public workshop.

In partnership with Cardiff and Vale Health Charity, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Fast Track, Cardiff Commitment Curriculum Team and On Your Face Collective.
