Oriel Davies is excited to invite early career artists and arts producers to apply for a placement opportunity with a new community project.

The project is funded by the Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Awards (ARMA) and supported by Engage

We encourage early careers artists and producers living or working in Wales to apply.

We welcome applications from early careers artists and producers from the Middle East and North Africa.

The placement will be involved with all aspects of the project which takes place between March and September 2025. These include planning, delivery and support of creative family days and a musical event at Oriel Davies.

The project will be co-produced with Syrian and Afghani families living locally to Newtown, Oriel Davies Gallery, a lead artist and two guest artists. It will work with children and families, engaging them in contemporary art through workshops, shared meals and music.

The opportunity is for 6 days work (or equivalent) with a fee of £690.

Please email Kate Morgan-Clare kate@orieldavies.org or ring 01686 635041 to find out more and for an informal chat.

After an initial conversation the application process is brief and accessible and includes a short proposal and CV.

Oriel Davies is a member of Zero Racism Wales and a Living Wage Employer.
