Immersive experience practitioner Eleanor Appleton and founder of Conwy-based Puzzle Junction and creator of the finding Alice Experience has been invited to speak on an international panel at the prestigious World Experience Summit (WXO). The panel will explore the theme of “Beyond Childhood: Can We Design Experiences That Truly Capture the Whole Family?”, with Eleanor drawing from her unique work developing interactive, narrative-led adventures in North Wales.
Eleanor is the creative force behind Finding Alice, a mixed-reality, self- guided experience set in Llandudno. Inspired by the town's links to Lewis Carroll’s Alice stories, participants join an action-packed hunt to track down the missing Alice—guided by riddles, Wonderland characters, and hidden surprises that transform the town into a narrative driven playground.
She will also speak about her long-standing project in development, The School of Planet Powers for Extraordinary Children—an environmental immersive theatre show for children and their parents or guardians designed to empower young people with positivity about the planet and the small things we can all to help, rather than the fear and anxiety driven rhetoric that is all too often used such as eco-anxiety and climate crisis. The show is still in production but has already generated interest by Arts Council of Wales, theatres and families that have been involved in the R&D stages.

“I believe in creating experiences that everyone in the family can enjoy together—not just watching from the sidelines, but actively participating,” said Eleanor. “It’s a real privilege to join this panel of brilliant makers at WXO and share ideas on building emotional connection, wonder, and memory-making into our work.”
The World Experience Summit brings together global leaders in experience design—from immersive theatre and themed entertainment to brand activations and education. Eleanor’s inclusion on the panel highlights her growing reputation as a leading voice in inclusive, place- based storytelling.
