We’re excited to announce we will be running a Deaf Awareness Workshop led by the incredible artist and Deaf Consultant Emily Rose.
About Emily Rose:
Emily champions creative access as a BSL tour guide, BSL consultant, creative workshop facilitator, and festival/event accessibility consultant. She works on diverse projects to make arts and culture inclusive for all.
This interactive workshop will explore Deaf culture, inclusive communication, and practical ways to make spaces more accessible.
What You’ll Learn:
🔹 Key aspects of Deaf culture and identity
🔹 Basic British Sign Language (BSL) skills
🔹 Common barriers faced by Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals
🔹 How to create more inclusive and accessible environments
