Tŷ Cerdd is excited to launch Wilia, a new series of monthly online forums dedicated to creating an open, welcoming space for everyone involved in traditional music in Wales. These sessions are a chance for musicians, researchers, organisers, and enthusiasts to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another.

Wilia is about holding space for the traditional music communities here in Wales – a place to discuss the Traditional Music Review, ask questions, explore challenges and opportunities, and engage in honest conversation about the future of our traditions. Some sessions will feature a guest artist leading the discussion, offering their perspective and sparking conversations around themes such as hidden voices, evolving practices, and cross-cultural influences. Others will be informal gatherings focused on listening, connecting, and exchanging ideas.

Wilia will take place on the first Monday of every month (except January 2026, when it will be on the second Monday), in the evening. Whether you’re deeply rooted in the tradition or simply passionate about Welsh folk music, come along, join the conversation, and help shape the future of traditional music in Wales.
