Join us at the 'Dyslexia and the Arts Network in Wales’ on the 10th of July. 2-4pm (GMT time)
In this on-line session, we will welcome two inspiring individuals from across the Atlantic, live from the USA, Dean Bragonier and Sally Taylor.
Dean Bragonier will share his dedication to helping students with dyslexia thrive by identifying their unique strengths and building self-esteem with NoticeAbility and pioneering in this field globally.
And the artist Sally Taylor will discuss Consenses - the power it has to offer dyslexics an alternative language (the language of art) to communicate their perspectives and listen to other's differences to grow empathy, compassion, and appreciation for all points of view. She is not only Dean Bragonier’s wife but also the daughter of rock legends James Taylor and Carly Simon. See her inspiring connection, understanding, and peace using art as a lens and a language here beforehand for background.
This Network is an opportunity to understand the current situation of dyslexia in Wales and recognise the value of the arts and its power to raise awareness in the field.
The intention of the Network is to engage anyone with an interest in the field from individuals, arts organizations and dyslexia experts who cross over into other neurodiversity fields. This would be an opportunity to hear diverse voices across several sectors and to develop opportunities to collaborate and offer relevant support encouraging sharing of resources and expertise.
Please do grab the opportunity to look at the curriculum for Consenses as well as NoticeAbility beforehand for background.
Thank you to the Arts Council of Wales for supporting the Dyslexia and the Arts Network in Wales.
