Overview:

This three-month paid internship (1 July – 30 September) offers an exciting and immersive opportunity for a proactive and creative individual with a passion for classical music and digital media. As Digital Content & Marketing Intern, you will take a key role in shaping and delivering the festival’s online presence, working directly with the Festival Manager, Artistic Director, and relevant Board members on the development and execution of its social media and marketing strategy.

This is a hands-on role that balances digital creativity with practical event support. The ideal candidate will be confident, collaborative, and eager to explore how social media can elevate classical music in a modern context.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Designing and implementing a cohesive digital marketing strategy across all major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.).

- Creating and scheduling high-quality, engaging posts before, during, and after the festival.

- Maintaining consistent social media engagement and monitoring performance.

- Working closely with photographers and videographers to ensure all concerts are properly documented in video and photo.

- Leading the collation and distribution of media assets to promote the current and upcoming festival seasons.

- Assisting front-of-house during the festival (11-20 September), providing support to audiences, artists, and staff.

- Liaising regularly with the Festival Manager and Board members involved in the festival’s digital output.

- Taking initiative and demonstrating an assertive, solutions-focused attitude throughout the internship.

- Exploring how social media can contribute meaningfully to the accessibility and relevance of classical music today.

- An honorarium of £2000, paid in three monthly instalments (£667 per month).
