Hywel Dda UHB are seeking proposals from experienced artists/creative practitioners for the provision of a series of 6 weekly, online creative activities for staff wellbeing. 

The provision will form part of our programme of creative activities for staff wellbeing. Delivered through our Creative Collective - a kind and safe online community of healthcare staff with an interest in creativity for wellbeing.

Hywel Dda UHB are looking for: 

  • Proposals of 6-week series of creative activities for healthcare staff wellbeing
  • Taking place weekly, lasting half an hour and offered at a day, time and date to suit staff
  • Offering a range of art forms and art experiences
  • Providing activities that promote the use of the arts to care, rest, reflect, recover and uplift, take notice
  • Ideally to be delivered bilingually
  • Deliverable through Hywel Dda's online platform Microsoft Teams
  • Requiring no materials or limited materials that anyone might have close to hand (for example - paper, pencil and/or pen)
  • Enabling a 'drop-in' approach for healthcare staff 

We are seeking artists who are able to work collaboratively with the HDUHB Arts and Health Team to deliver an engaging creative outlet for staff to take time away from the traditional high-pressure roles in order to experiment, learn and share ideas through arts and culture. 

We are keen to promote 'choice' and offer Hywel Dda staff a wide selection of creative activities to suit a wide range of tastes, interests and abilities. 

Fees: £600 for 6 1/2 hr sessions - all costs and preparation time included 

Suggested themes for workshops include: 

  • Self-care, relaxation, mindfulness, breathwork, taking notice
  • Reminiscence, reflection
  • Care/kindness, compassion, healing
  • Respite, recovery, rejuvenation, inspiration
  • Diversity/identity 

A member of the Arts and Health Team will be present throughout the workshops to support the artists and provide feedback when necessary.
