Call for Creative Practitioners: Arts, Health, and Wellbeing Project with Amser i Siarad, Galeri Caernarfon and National Trust’s Plas Newydd.
We are seeking creative and welcoming Creative Practitioners to collaborate on an exciting Arts, Health, and Wellbeing project with Amser i Siarad, Galeri Caernarfon and National Trust’s Plas Newydd.
Project Overview:
As a Creative Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in a guided tour of National Trust’s Plas Newydd, Ynys Môn, and draw inspiration from the unique objects and stories found within the buildings and grounds.
- Commissioned Artwork: Create a commissioned piece of art inspired by your experience at Plas Newydd, reflecting the site's rich heritage. The artwork should be sensory in nature, with a focus on promoting wellbeing.
- Training and Development: Take part in a 2-day Mental Health First Aid Training Course, equipping you with the skills to support participants effectively.
- Community Engagement: Lead 4 workshops (2.5 hours each) for Amser i Siarad participants, working with individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems. Use the commissioned artwork as a reference and source of inspiration for the sessions. Workshops will take place at Galeri and Plas Newydd.

- Total Fee: £1,200
Timeline:
Must be available on the following dates:
Artist Q&A Zoom Call – November 12th or 13th (depending on artist availability)
First Aid Mental Health Training - November 18th & 19th
Plas Newydd Tour - November 20th
