Neil Anthony Docking and Maxine Evans, producers behind the Olivier-nominated 'The Revlon Girl', have launched Flesh & Blood Stories  - the first phase of an 18-month initiative that will see an annual touring rep season of new plays rolling out in the spring of 2026. Supported by Arts Council Wales and in partnership with key theatres across Wales, their 'Audiences Wanted' initiative aims to radically increase the supply of mid-scale touring productions available to venues and audiences across Wales with a season of plays that will tour multiple venues simultaneously - including the Coliseum (Aberdare), The Met (Abertillery), Pontardawe Arts, Pontio (Bangor), Carmarthenshire and RCT Theatres, the Riverfront, the Torch and more.

Amid the script call-out already underway, Flesh & Blood Stories has received close to 150 submissions in myriad genres from new and acclaimed writers - both nationally and internationally - with more expected to arrive before its closing date on 6th February 2025. Work now turns to F&B's experienced editors to select scripts not just for suitability and viability for stage, but also to meet the increasing demand for quality and choice amongst theatre audiences.

Also part of the F&B initiative is a series of free story seminars. Scheduled for later this year, the open seminars will be tailored for playwrights and screenwriters wishing to hone and develop their skills, whilst at the same time establishing a steady pipeline of new work and new writers for future touring seasons. If successful, Flesh & Blood Stories will run again later this year in preparation for a 2027 season.
