A £7 million Arts Resilience Fund was set-up by Arts Council of Wales and Welsh Government with £5.1 million of the fund coming from National Lottery sources. Arts Council of Wales wants to give organisations the best chance of surviving the COVID‑19 emergency and support organisations to get back on their feet and help them to sustain themselves through the coming months.
The Stabilisation Fund for Organisations opens on Tuesday 21 April 2020 to applications from arts organisations working in the not-for-profit arts sector in Wales who are experiencing immediate financial difficulty due to loss of income or are suffering cashflow pressures resulting from the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. Priority will be given to those organisations facing the most immediate and acute financial challenges. Grants of up to £35,000 will be made available to be used within six months of receiving a grant.
Full eligibility details and a list of Questions and Answers are available on the Art Council’s website https://arts.wales/stabilisation-fund-for-organisations . Supporting documentation will be available in Easyread and BSL formats.
The latest fund follows the announcement of an Urgent Response Fund for Individuals on Tuesday 14 April 2020 and a Stabilisation Fund for Individuals will open on Friday 29 May 2020.
