Are you interested in writing for theatre? Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru are hosting a workshop day with storytelling expert, John Yorke – and they have space for three writers to join us, free of charge.

Storytelling Workshop with John Yorke
4 June, 10am – 4pm
Held in Cardiff (exact location TBC)

We’re eager to support and nurture Welsh playwrights and this workshop will strenghten writers’s understanding of the essential elements of storytelling. This includes exploring the narrative blueprint that forms the basis of all plays, along with expert tips to put into practice during the writing and development process. This workshop is suitable for seasoned writers to help them perfect their craft, or as an introduction to new writers on story creation.

John Yorke is renowned for his expertise in TV dramas, and he has made a name for himself as a prominent leader in story narrative. John’s book, Into the Woods: How Stories Work and Why We Tell Them, has proved a roaring success in the UK and Europe, offering valuable insights into the intricacies of stories. As a Founder of the BBC Writer’s Academy, he has played an integral role in nurturing new talent in the TV writing industry.
