Are you a creative practitioner passionate about culinary-themed creative learning projects? If so, Carwe, Gwynfryn and Ponthenri Federation would love to hear from you. This September, KS2 learners from this federation of three schools will embark on a creative learning journey inspired by produce from the school gardens and are looking for two Welsh-speaking practitioners to take their ideas to the next level.

The aim of the project is to develop oracy and support the development of collaborative skills and creative techniques, and learners are already buzzing with ideas, from creating a dish inspired by produce in the gardens to working with a community kitchen to serve the dish to local people. The project could involve a media, scriptwriting, or digital marketing element: creating and filming a cookery show, working with a local TV company to showcase the recipe within a cookery slot, or collaborating with a charity to create a food sustainability campaign. As in all Lead Creative Schools projects, this project will be guided by this skills-based ‘enquiry question’:

How can a multi-disciplinary culinary arts project, inspired by produce from the school's garden, foster oral skills and confidence among KS2 learners, while also fostering learners' ability to work together creatively and develop techniques?

Fee: £300 per day
