Conwy County Borough Council and Conwy Arts Trust, supported by Arts Council Wales and Welsh Government, have commissioned world renowned outdoor arts experts Walk the Plank to work with artists and participants from North Wales to create a new and exciting event.  Winter Light will commence on Saturday 16 November when otherworldly creatures, fire wielding Vikings, a Victorian circus freak show, large scale puppet and music all illuminated with fire and light take to the streets for Llandudno’s first Winter Light Procession

We are recruiting volunteers and participants for Winter Light and have some very exciting opportunities available, including:

COSTUME WORKSHOP: introduction to designing and making costumes for outdoor performance including lighting in costumes

PERFORMANCE PARTICIPATION: joint us for an intensive weekend of learning prior to performing in the Monsters and Monster Catchers section of the Winter Light Parade.  Alternatively, spend a day learning circus skills in order to join the parade as a Victorian Circus Performer

TORCH BEARER: Join our fiery entourage and delight the people of Llandudno and its visitors by carrying a wax torch.

STEWARDS: You will help us start to tell the story of the Orme and introduce the audience to the characters and concepts of this great story for year 1 in 'Myths and Monsters Awaken’ entertaining and delighting the people of Llandudno and its visitors. Encouraging and provoking reactions to make this an unforgettable interactive experience for all.
