Time: 10:00 – 16:00
Venue: National Roman Legion Museum
Expect the unexpected on this practical course for teachers and educators, that brings historic and contemporary arts together. Led by three hugely successful Welsh musicians, Rufus Mufasa, Beat Technique and Mr Phormula. Participants on this course will experience the professional music process of these three artists, find out about the things that influence their creative practice and hear about artists in Wales, the UK and internationally who work within these popular artforms.
You will then explore the galleries at the Roman Legion Museum to find inspiration for creating work of your own. Aimed at Key Stages 2 and 3, this course sets out to build the confidence of teachers and educators, presenting a fresh and engaging approach to using collections, local arts, culture and heritage as inspiration for creating new artwork through music, rap, spoken word, rap and beatboxing.
This course has been developed in partnership with National Museum Wales.
