New trustees – Wyeside Arts Centre, Builth Wells

Wyeside is a theatre/cinema/gallery in Builth Wells, with audiences drawn from a wide mid Wales area and beyond.  We work in close collaboration with Theatr Mwldan in Cardigan to present a vibrant arts programme.

We are looking at the future regeneration of our board, and would like some more people to join us.  We wish to expand our expertise and inclusivity in the areas listed, and welcome applications from people who are both passionate about the arts and feel they have skills to offer us:

·        Welsh language

·        Younger board members

·        Working with young people and in education

·        Diversity and inclusion

·        Supporting health and arts initiatives

·        Marketing experience

·        Project management

·        Building works

The trustee position is voluntary and unpaid.  Our board meets four times a year (usually at the arts centre but currently virtually), and there are supporting committees of which a trustee would usually be involved with at least one.  Total time commitment required would be approximately 1-2 days per month.

Previous experience of being a trustee is not necessary - you can find out more about the role of a trustee on the Charity Commission website at www.gov.uk.  Wyeside Arts Centre is a registered charity (no. 505656) and a company limited by guarantee (no. 01279900).

If you are interested in becoming a Wyeside trustee, please email  generalmanager@wyeside.co.uk adding “New trustees” to the subject line. We would like you to tell us about the experience that you could bring to the board.

Closing date Monday 1 February 2021, with virtual meetings with applicants to be held mid February 2021.
