Mid Wales Arts invites artists to submit images of work in any medium and proposals for installations for an Open Exhibition that will focus attention on the effects of Climate Change. During the Covid 19 pandemic the public reconnected with the natural world and re emerging from lockdown presents the perfect opportunity to act and refocus attention on this crucial debate.
The exhibition is planned for 2nd April-17th May 2021. A prize of £500 will be awarded to the artist whose work is judged the most challenging by the public.
This will be a wide ranging exhibition, we are looking for innovative large and small scale pieces that reflect on life and landscape nationally and internationally, past, present and future.
We have an extensive site with 3 unique galleries, outdoor spaces, a sculpture trail and wide views of the Severn Valley. We were able to remain open for much of 2020, we can accommodate social distancing and are Covid secure. There will also be an on line exhibition which will be filmed.
Please submit up to 4 images(jpeg) by email attachment with a brief artists statement and resume.
You can email or call 01686 688369 if you would like to discuss your ideas. Closing date: 15th February 2021. Selection Panel: 22nd February 2021.
