Race Council Cymru manage the Black History Month Wales and Black History Cymru 365 programme throughout Wales each year, which creates events across Wales that share diverse cultures, promote creativity, celebrate difference and increase long term engagement with African and African Caribbean Arts and communities in Wales.
The title for this year’s programme is Movers, Shakers & Legacy Makers and celebrates both historic and present day people making dynamic change for better futures.
We are looking to engage a freelance Arts Development Officer for a fixed term of initially 12 months (based on part time work of 3 days work per week) to develop partnerships with North Wales Arts, performance and music venues and Creatives to progress the Black History Wales programme.
To support delivery of the current creative programme for 2019-20 in partnership with our North Wales representatives and to work in partnership with the South Wales Arts Director to deliver RCC’s Black History Creative Arts strategy across Wales for 2020 and beyond.
