Newport based digital design company Pyka, is making a name for itself as a tech company offering services to cultural organisations, schools and corporate clients across the UK.

Facilitated by Pyka technologists, you will learn about professional creative tech process, from the initial inspiration, through the idea generation process, to the making of innovative tech.

You will hear about existing augmented reality experiences that Pyka have developed for clients including CADW and other cultural organisations. In line with the experience, respond, create framework of the Expressive Arts AoLE in the new Curriculum for Wales, you will then try your hand at creating augmented reality design.

Seeking inspiration from the built environment in Newport City Centre, you will utilise a range of creative skills, including drawing and digital competency to create a piece of simple but engaging tech design of your own, developing new skills to take back to school.

Aimed at Key Stages 2 and 3, this course sets out to build the confidence of teachers and educators, presenting a fresh and engaging approach to using culture, heritage and environment as inspiration for creating new artwork.
