Adventures in Nature will support the conservation of local biodiversity in the Welshpool area for future generations. We will do this by delivering a series of events and training days and 50 creative outdoor and forest school sessions with schools and the local community.
The sessions will cover four themes:
– ‘Earth’ sessions will focus on soil and plant biodiversity
– ‘Water’ sessions will focus on the biodiversity of the canal and rivers that run through Welshpool and look at how we reduce our water usage and take care to not pollute our waters
– ‘Air’ sessions will explore the importance of bugs and birds and how we can help them to thrive and their importance to our ecosystem
– ‘Fire’ sessions will explore trees and creating dens and fires safely while exploring the importance of trees for nesting birds and other animals
We are looking for artists who can deliver outdoor and / or online under the four themes above. We will deliver 6 open access / family sessions under each theme. We will also deliver sessions in local schools which can be a one off or series of workshops under the four themes.
